Our Wedding Celebration!

May 29th - June 1st 2026

Welcome to our wedding website

We would love to invite you to a three day celebration at  Chateau du Puits es Pratx in the beautiful South of France.

We will keep you and this website updated with information regarding travel, accommodation and event details.

Countdown to the big day

4

months

13

days

Option 1: Drive (Western Route)

Ferry from Portsmouth or Poole to St. Malo with DFDS, Brittany Ferries, or Condor.
Condor offers a fast ferry taking around 7 hours.

Suggested route: Rennes → Nantes → Niort → Saintes → Bordeaux → Toulouse → Narbonne.

Overnight stop suggestions: Île de Ré, La Rochelle, or Bordeaux.
This is a scenic, relaxed route with lots of charming towns to explore along the way.

Watch out: The Bordeaux périphérique can be busy — best avoided at rush hour.

Estimated driving time: ~9 hours
Toll (péage) cost: ~€75 each way

Option 2: Drive (Central Route – “La Méridienne”)

Ferry from Portsmouth to Caen with Brittany Ferries.
The overnight ferry takes around 11 hours and arrives early (~7am). Definitely worth booking a cabin! 😴

From Caen, join the A75 south through the Massif Central — a beautiful and slightly more mountainous route.

Suggested route: Le Mans → Tours → Bourges → Clermont-Ferrand → Millau → Béziers → Narbonne.

You’ll cross the Millau Viaduct – a stunning piece of engineering and a real highlight of the drive.

Overnight stop suggestion: Bourges, if you want to break the journey.
Estimated driving time: ~9 hours
Toll (péage) cost: ~€45

Option 3: Train + Drive (LeShuttle)

Take the Eurotunnel/LeShuttle from Folkestone to Calais, then drive down through central France.
Suggested route: Paris → Orléans → Bourges → Clermont-Ferrand → Béziers → Narbonne.
(Same as Option 2 after Bourges.)
Estimated total duration: ~12 hours
Toll (péage) cost: ~€45

This is a long drive — and getting around Paris adds stress (hello périphérique 😬). Not ideal unless you’re avoiding ferries or flights.

Train (Eurostar + TGV)

A relaxed and scenic way to travel if you’d prefer to avoid flying or driving.
Take the Eurostar from London St Pancras to Paris Gare du Nord, then transfer across Paris (Metro or Uber) to Gare de Lyon for the TGV to Narbonne.

From Narbonne station, it’s just a short taxi or hire car ride to the venue.
Car hire is also available from the station and is often much cheaper than airport rentals.

Journey times:
Eurostar to Paris: ~3 hours
Paris transfer: ~30 minutes
TGV to Narbonne: ~4.5 hours
We’re so excited to welcome you to the South of France for our wedding at Château du Puits es Pratx in the village of Ginestas. Whether you’re joining us for the weekend or making a longer trip of it, here’s everything you need to know.

Getting to the Venue

Once you’ve landed, you’ll need to make your way to the venue in Ginestas.

You can hire a car, which is great for flexibility and sharing with others. Taxis and private transfers are available from all major airports. If a group of guests are arriving around the same time, we may be able to help coordinate shared coach transfers.

We encourage guests to connect and share transport where possible — it’s more affordable, more social, and better for the planet. Just let us know your plans and we’ll do our best to link people up.

Example Transport Costs (2025 Rates)

Coach Transfers (per person, one way)
From Carcassonne: €16–€28
From Béziers: €16–€30
From Perpignan: €17–€32
From Montpellier: €23–€43
From Toulouse: €25–€48
From Girona: €26–€51

Taxis are paid in cash and prices vary based on time of day, vehicle size and day of the week. Sundays and holidays usually carry a small supplement.

Make a Trip of It

If you’re able to extend your stay, we really recommend making the most of being in the South of France.

You could enjoy wine tasting in the Minervois, explore Carcassonne’s medieval citadel, wander through Narbonne’s old town, or take a bike ride along the Canal du Midi.

For a day at the coast, try Gruissan Plage, Narbonne Plage or Valras-Plage — all under an hour away. If you're heading further afield, cities like Barcelona, Montpellier and Toulouse are fantastic for food, sunshine and culture.
